Most of these images were taken on the Railway's Open Weekend, 11th - 12th February 2006; and feature visiting locomotives as well as locomotives from the Railway's own fleet.

The Driving Lesson: a young member is introduced to the controls of the Club's NZ Railways Christchurch Suburban Class EC Electric Locomotive.
The Station exit,  with the (working) Water Tower and Signal Gantry. In the background, a train is crossing the first viaduct.
A member's live steam Locomotive, based on an American logging prototype, passes on the main line; the Class EC Locomotive waits its turn, on the Preparation Road.
A few minutes later, the visiting H199 Fell Locomotive from Featherston Club takes a passenger train on the main line.
A Palmerston North Club member's New Zealand Railways Class DH approaches the spirals.
Another NZ Railways Electric Locomotive, this time a visitor, has passed under the viaducts and is now on the spirals.
The visiting Liverpool and Manchester "Lion" crosses the second Viaduct on its way back the Station. The full sized prototype for this Locomotive was built in 1838 and used in making the film "Titfield Thunderbolt".
